This is from The Book of Runic Astrology.

Retrogrades is a word that has been used to implant fear in budding astrologers and those mystically inclined.

This is a how Runic astrology and your Runic Star Path deals with this not at all scary energy shift.

In classical astrology we have a concept called Retrograde. This is when a planet or astral body from our perception on earth appears to go backwards in the sky. They don’t orbit of earth and the astral body make it seem that way.

What this does do is move the energy of the goddess/god away from their domain. Like a group of rowdy kids. When the teacher is not there, they will act in the most opposite way possible. So, in the above example when Odin (Mercury) wanders, communication gets squiffy.

Professional word Squiffy.

The individual gods go retrograde every so often. As I’m personifying the gods, I choose the word wandering. As sitting on the throne doing the same thing all the time can be exhausting. So they get up and have look around. Teacher leaves kids play.

There is another way of looking the wandering god, not nessesserceraly from a classical astrology point of view. The planets are not physically going backwards, our view of them is. So this means that this time of wandering/ retrograde is a time of reassessing and revisiting energies that come from that planet. A time of reflection.

To make this easier for the current Mercury Retrograde, I’ve made a field manual for you. If you subscribe its below. If you just want the one off manual its on this link. $5 dollars below, £5 on the link.
